The most of the customers that I talk to have some sort of project going on and they always have splendid work titles.

But, is the digital workplace a VDI solution? Is it Published Applications? Is it when we can work on any device? Isn’t the future, now?
Let’s get back to the basics on how a workplace is delivered
I think if we look at how we delivered a workplace in the past, we can fairly say that IT used to be simple.
– Same corporate image for everybody
– Secure it, lock it down
– Issue with the computer: re-image
And when something changed, we just start over from the top.That just how we did things, and if I look at my customers that is still how we are doing things.
Workspaces adapt with the speed of life!
The world is changing, and I could give a speech about digital transformation and about the world biggest taxi company that doesn’t own … blablabla.
Let’s just look at yourself.
How many device do you have? A minimum of 2, maybe 3 or even 4 !(laptop, tablet, smart phone, smart-watch, …). Where do you access company applications and data? From home, from the airport (like me now), from a public restaurant or once in a while from inside the corporate office.
Everybody wants to use any device, any application, anywhere depending on the use case.
And we see a massive change in the application landscape. More and more SAAS and modern apps are being delivered next to still a large stack of traditional applications.
So a lot of organisation are struggling to deliver a simple solution to access all those applications on any device and have issues to manage the growing complexity.
And what about security?
Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a solution that combines consumer simplicity and enterprise security.
A Secure Digital Workplace should have the following characteristics
1. Consumer Simple
No matter what kind of application (SAAS, Modern, Traditional), no matter what kind of device, a user should have a seamless experience of accessing corporate application on any device.

The aggregation and correlation of user, device, application data should lead to better insights, recommendations and even automation of a set of rules.
